Can I suggest that you and the Welfare Fund retain an independent actuarial firm to review the loss data and the reserves to determine whether the dental rates can be increased.

That would be a reasonable and impartial resolution.

Thank you for this info. The Welfare fund may be a slush fund.

This is all well and good. I think our dental benefits are horrible. For instance, cops have much better dental than us.

Having said that, what I see a lot macro being talked about. Health care, Tier 6, etc… But where is the micro?

Where is fight fight from this group for teachers that are being shat on by admins? Losing their jobs? Being brought up on 3020a charges? All I hear is silence.

Maybe the welfare fund should share their investment strategy with the members. How does one increase the value of their assets by over 200% in eight years?

Please prepare as a press release. The info is gold to NY Daily News, Times, even NY Post (forgive me. Send on professional page, with illustration, from you, as a report, and state your relationship to union/Dept. of Ed.

Short bio sqib at bottom; at top: “press release.” We need to put pressure on King Mulgrew. Publicity is shaming, in this case.
